New York City’s Tribeca Film Festival, founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff, will celebrate its 16th year from April 19th – April 30th at various locations in Manhattan.
Programs include a Reservoir Dogs screening with a cast reunion along with director, Quentin Tarantino, special screenings of the first two Godfather films featuring most of the surviving main cast and director, Francis Ford Coppola, plus much more.
The film festival also features the Tribeca Talks Series, which features an impressive, eclectic lineup of acclaimed directors, actors and entertainers. The lineup includes conversations between Barbara Streisand and Robert Rodriguez (because why not?), Noah Baumbach with Dustin Hoffman, Bruce Springsteen with Tom Hanks (where they hopefully bust out a Born to Run duet), and more.
The Tribeca Film Festival is a great opportunity for cinephiles to discover new films, as well as revisit classics along with those who were involved in creating these films. The festival’s discussion panels also offer a tremendous insight from its participants on their creation process and what goes into making these great films.
