Friday: Cruel Summer: 80s + 90s Dance Party


Love dancing but aren’t a big fan of 21st century club hits? The Cruel Summer dance party at The Bell House has got what you need, with 10-piece cover band, The Engagements, performing 80s hits and DJ Steven Reynolds spinning 90s classics. The party also features a costume contest and dance-off, so be prepared to show off your best moves on the floor.

Saturday: Freedom Party NYC: EPMD + Funk Flex Birthday


Not ready to put those dancing shows away? The Freedom Party at Irving Plaza will help you get down to a variety of 80s, 90s, and 00s hits. This weekend will be celebrating the birthday of the legendary Funkmaster Flex, along with a performance from hip hop icons, EPMD.

Saturday & Sunday: Play NYC

If you consider yourself a gamer, the Play NYC video games expo at the Manhattan Center might have what you need. The convention aims to focus on highlighting local NYC developers and players, with over 140 games to play, as well as discussion panels and more.
